Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC) is a MassHealth-funded program that provides daily assistance to adults living in group housing or supportive home settings. It allows you to get the care you need — without moving into a nursing home or relying on a full-time caregiver.
Who is GAFC For?
You may be eligible for GAFC if:
- You live alone or in a group home
- You do not have a caregiver living with you
- You need help with personal care like bathing, dressing, or getting around
- You receive MassHealth Standard or CommonHealth
